I believe it's more common to say 911 F, as to not be confused with Jaguar. What model is your 911 by the way?
I suspect that trend will continue. And I COMPLETELY agree. The "vintage-inspired" Monacos with the left-hand crown and horizontal indices work much better in the chunky square case than the radial indices and right-hand crown. Interesting, though.... There have only been 20 Monaco reference numbers since 1969 that have had a left-hand crown. I've counted more than 100 with a right-hand crown. The right-hand crown variants are still super cool, but the left-hand crown IS one of the hallmark design cues of Monaco in my opinion and without it, the design feels imbalanced and much less desirable. And I've heard that the 21st left-hand crown Monaco will be announced less than a month from now!
Welcome to the forum Mike! There are a few of us with Mustangs here, myself included (and I'm also another Michael). Color wise, this Monaco is probably the closest one you'll get to match Ford's Highland Green. I doubt they'll do another left crown green Monaco anytime soon, as they've already done two in fairly recent times (see my prior post in this thread). If you're big into McQueen and Bullitt, you need to get yourself the Benrus he wore in the movie. That's the Bullitt watch. https://wornandwound.com/review/affordable-vintage-bullitt-benrus/
If I’m not mistaken sir @Hubert also has Calibre12 Monacos (right side crowns) in the collection. The Monacos have a special separate box then another box for the rest of Heuer/TAG Heuer
Nope, I don't believe he does. He's posted pics of his Monaco collection before, they were all C11 "Heuer" branded. This was the state of his Monaco collection in 2019. (Pretend you don't see those 2 Omegas. ) Since this pic was taken, Hubert has also added the 00s Monaco 50 (also a C11). But I don't think I've ever seen a C12 or H02 Monaco in his collection. @Hubert, what do you say?
I was trying to look for that pic haha oh well, it seems that sir @Hubert doesn’t have a right sided crown Calibre12 Monaco. Perhaps a CH02 There are three more spaces to fill up
@Hubert also owns Y https://forums.calibre11.com/thread...09-limited-edition.98322/page-11#post-1338024
LOL; I was out to get my vaccine and I'm just catching-up on all the action! You guys have been busy! Yes, I only have modern "Calibre 11" Monacos. A (CAW211A) - 40th Anniversary B (CAW211B) - Grey dial reissue C (CAW211C) - Silver dial D (CAW211D) - Striped McQueen P (CAW211P) - "Production" Blue McQueen R (CAW211R) - 50th Anniversary of Gulf Racing T (CAW211T) - 50th Anniversary of Gulf 1st Victory W (CAW211W) - Monaco 50th Anniversary - 80s X (CAW211X) - Monaco 50th Anniversary - 90s Y (CAW211Y) - Monaco 50th Anniversary - 2000s I am looking to add another one this year to continue the trend. There's something about the hefty subregisters of the H02 Monacos that I find a bit unrefined. That said, if this green one had been a C11, I would have gotten it.
Dear Sir Hubert, I think myself and the rest of the forum would very much like to see an updated pic of all these together..
So does anyone have more than 10 of one watch? I don't, but Snowy must have more than ten classic F1s...
He has at least 18 classic F1s according to this pic. Even more F1s if you include his more modern ones. @Snowy is much harder to keep track of. He also has an incredible collection. But he works very quietly behind the scenes. Unlike Hubert, who's usually one of the first to get a newly released watch, Snowy takes his time. Then months later, there's a wrist shot but with no fanfare or mention of it being a new watch. From my memory, within about the last 6 months or so, Snowy's new additions include: Red Monaco Historique, Monaco Gulf 1st Victory, Fujiwara Fragment F1, Hodinkee Dato 45, the new Senna F1 Calibre 16, and who knows what else...
This is just his regular classic F1 collection, he also has limited pieces (including 3 or 4 of the Ukyo Katayama). Still Hubert's collection is in a different league because the F1s are relatively affordable.
Not sure about this though. Remember that Snowy also has vintage Carreras, both Monzas, cal1887 bullhead, multiple Monacos incl Monaco sixtynine and that futuristic looking LS 360 and the Japan green etc
Right. Snowy's got a lot of high end pieces too, I have a feeling he's closer to Hubert than some may think. He bought these fairly recently: Red Monaco Historique, Monaco Gulf 1st Victory (Gulf King), Fujiwara Fragment F1, Hodinkee Dato 45, & Senna F1 Calibre 16, but that's just the tip of the iceberg.
