·I guess a watch can be 'special' and also 'limited'. A 'limited' watch may not be 'special', and a 'special' watch could be unlimited, this apparently is both. I always assumed 'Special' meant, limited but too many pieces to really call it limited.
I don't actually think they ever 'see how it goes'... I think they make a run and that's it.

Yes first people said it would be platinum but then I got confirmation from AD that it will be white gold. Or I mean, rumor says it might be, who knows etc
I have heard platinum / salmon dial as well, but we'll see if they've changed course. Sometime this year I think.

·I think the color looks great, but my issue is that real-world photos show the polished chrono hands disappearing against the dial. Think it would have been better were they white or at least matte.
Personally I'm not very into TAG's new strategy of "everything is a limited edition" though, for the Carrera and Monaco lines.
