They have two spring pins on each one (I think), well definitely the one that annoys me anyway.

Another thing I notice is that the date isn't in the middle of the date window, but then I look at my other watches and see that this is quite common (the top of the number touching the the frame). So it's funny when people say you can spot a fake because with a real watch the date will be smack in the middle of the frame. No it won't!
Can you post a pic of the offending metal piece? I've not seen a TAG Heuer NATO strap close up. But with Omega and Tudor, their NATO straps have nicely finished metal loops with beveled edges. Curious to see how TAG compares. Also wouldn't mind seeing what the buckle looks like on that strap. And while I'm asking, a head on straight view of the date window would help us see how centered (or not) it is.

Thanks. That does look a bit off center. Sometimes, certain dates are more centered than others. So perhaps on other days it will look more centered.

The edge of those loops do look a bit sharp, interesting that they seem to have double pins. Hopefully they're functional. I've got a 3rd party NATO with a buckle with what looked like pins that didn't press in when I pushed on it.

Looking at them they are actually radiused, but they are still sharp.

It also looks like there isn't much adjustability in the placement of the 2nd loop. So if one has large wrists, the strap may not reach the 2nd loop, leaving it dangling & out of place. If that's the case, one could simply remove the 2nd loop (assuming the pins work).

Yes the Cal16 move the date during the day. Moves it from top edge to center

^Not bad and very orange! But for me, the fabric strap is the coolest thing about this watch. I also like the look of the metal strap loops, I think it goes well with the charcoal color fabric.

Rubber Strap image😎
In this way it is even more reminiscent of the colourful TH Formula 1 of the 80s 😀 👍

Is it Photoshop, or is it also offered with this rubber strap?

This strap but black would be cool. Trying to match the orange is never going to work.

Soooo much more comfortable! Maybe not the absolute best looking but an uncomfortable strap is as useless as no strap at all in my opinion

I'm realising the nylon itself is quite scratchy, but better without those metal bits!

But the metal is in between the strap layers, not actually touching your wrist. 😕

The springbars are in between the layers, but the sharp bits are wider than the strap. Even now the strap is annoying me because the fit is either too tight or too loose... I might be getting that Isofrane strap sooner rather than later.

That's too bad, as I said before, I think the strap is one of the coolest things about the watch. You might also consider looking at some NATO straps. Something like the black & orange Omega one that I posted above could work well.
