·Great review as always.
I like what I see but I don't like the Price.
Just a standard Model at $8500 AUD.
Compare it to the 160th at 1k more for a Limited Edition. About 2k more than the current crop of Carrera. Not sure about it.
Interesting, looking forward to seeing these in the metal. Green dial with metal bezel is the most interesting one I think. 44mm is too big for me but the upcoming 42mm should work.
I'm on the fence about the new lug design. On some pictures it looks tight, on others the bends and curves seem too much. Carrera lugs are sacred, they should be straight and sharp. I'll hold my judgement until I seem them. The seemingly narrower design and better fit on the wrist are a welcome design update.
Why no quick release straps like on the Autavia?

There are ways to move the Carrera design forward without Hublotizing it or turning it into a bastardization of an Autavia with Carrera lugs and a Formula 1 bezel.
This is yet another watch whose design works well enough on its own merits (if an enormous chonk is your thing, of course) but with the Carrera name slapped on it and lugs grafted on.
The identity crisis continues.
To my eyes, it looks like a modern day version of the '63-'65 Carrera
