The first gen connected was also titanium and the Carrera Heuer 01 grey phantom of course.
Yes, all the 1st Gen Connected and also all the 2nd Gen Connected Modular are titanium.
Current 3rd Gen Connected has steel and titanium versions in its range.

I like this new BAMFORD AR version 👍, and also the BWD Carrera Calibre 5 with coffee dial... I’m liking their recent releases more than other BWD designs that we saw in the past 😵‍💫

Me three

I kinda agree, but then I find the 41mm Aquaracers too dinky. I really wanted one of the ceramic bezel Cal5s with the yellow highlights and the black textile strap but it always looked too small on me.

No I agree, 43 mm three handers get a little too big

Maybe. I tried on the 41mm and 43mm and picked the 41. After almost 2 years on the wrist, I sometimes wish I had bought the 41, but most of the time it seems like the right size.

How about the way201a.fc6361?

Ah, yes... but I wanted it PVD coated.🙁

You're going to need a way108, and a way201a and a very small screwdriver

The 41mm is "dinky"? I thought my old 39mm was plenty big enough.

It's hard to explain, I'm wearing a 37mm 3000 and it's fine... but for one thing black watches wear smaller, and also the older 37mm watches were thinner. When you get a newer, thicker watch it looks small. Those Aquaracers looked very pebbly on the wrist, at least that was my issue with them.

Gotcha. The 39mm above was quite thin, so it worked. Not sure why TAG would think fatter is an improvement.

My 3000 and your Aquaracer are quartz though, that's probably why...

Ah. Yes, good point 😀

Even so, no reason a simple 3-hander needs to be a thick watch.

Way back in the past before quartz even cheap watches were thin, they didn't have rotors but even so...

I've been saying this for ages, and it's probably an obvious point anyway, but from the early days of watchmaking right up to the 1970s, manufacturers were always trying to get thinner and smaller. When watches became more luxury accessory rather than a functional item, then it seems to have become more about "wrist presence" and manufacturers have stopped caring about making their watches comfortable and elegant.

Excellent video by the way:

Ah, yes I meant to watch that. I have seen that movement, well.... I have seen a watch with it inside at a Cartier exhibition in London a couple of years ago. It was a very, very good exhibition at the design museum and it was free!

I've always thought my 41mm AR is quite thin. Here's a size comparison with a 39mm quartz AR

Quartz is 10.1mm thick
Calibre 5 is 11.9mm thick. So almost 20% I guess, but it feels very thin compared to a carrera or AR chronograph
