Yes, also waiting here: Google Play services have been updated, but I’m still on 2.16...

Same to me. It will come. Probably tonight

I wonder why the flurry of updates? Not seeing any real differences here either.

In the last period all update added some battery life and more fluidity, and let's hope for the best for our old ones.

This is also the same for me with 2 titanium models. US model is at 2.16 and Asia model is at 2.17 but both are at latest GPS...

Three days later than my black titanium Kingsman Gen2 M45, my titanium Gen2 M45 has also received Wear OS 2.17 and same newer Home app 2.35.0.304529807 👍

So both are now on same versions excepting for the Google Play Services, still to be updated in the black Kingsman...

Does anyone know what criteria the updates follow? Why do two watches in the same place sometimes receive updates on different dates, and other times they receive them at the same time? 😕

My US or Eng version also updated yesterday; with Google updates its a mixed bag depending on region, installed apps, device usage....

For example, my US version always lags the Asia version. The US ver is idle more of the time and has less apps installed, the Asia version is setup for Google pay, which requires screen lock, it also uses maps, location and fit pretty much everyday so it does receive updates more frequently.

A couple of things I do though is clear the cache in the play store & play services a few times a month and set WiFi to be on when charging to have a good direct connect to the play store.

Because Google knows that you have an outdated Gen 2 and want to punish you. 😝

Thank you for the explanation! 😀 I will follow your suggestion about clearing the Google Play cache next time that one of my two Modular 45 lags the other 👍

Thank you! It is an explanation not as developed as VRman’s, but yours makes a lot of sense! 😁
And in exchange for having the only SWISS MADE TAG Heuer smartwatch, I gladly accept the punishment! 😝

I don't think Gen2 will be outdated anytime soon
TAG Heuer is not taking proper care of it.
A security patch dated 7 months ago is not a good sign.

It’s just 5 months older than yours! 😉 But how does the date of the security patch really affect the operation of the watch? 😕

On the other hand, TAG Heuer sent the new Heuer 02 face to Gen1 and Gen2 coinciding with the release of Gen3... so they are not taking such bad care of their previous Connected Gens 😉

If you make NFC payments, be careful.

I don’t use Google Pay, so I always have NFC switched off (it saves battery). Anyway thanks for the advice and the info on the security patch influence 👍

I don’t use Google Pay
And Apple Pay? 😕
In my opinion, making NFC payments is one of the most useful things on a smartwatch.

It’s because I use Apple Pay with my iPhone X, which is always with me 😀
Also, I would have sworn that Apple Pay cannot be used on an Android device! 😵‍💫

Then the TAG Heuer would not work with your iPhone...
