On the Gen 4, the latest update shows 2.33, not 2.34.... weird...

My E4 Golf Edition is also 2.36.
Good to know that from Gen2 to E4 are running same Wear OS version (I guess E3 will also receive the 2.36 update). It seems that only Gen1 is not receiving updates anymore

Yes Gen 1 not received anything for ages. However I only use my Gen 1 as a watch around the house . Gen 2 I use when out due to fact I can pay using it.

Hello everyone, I’d like some advice! I’ve just recently purchased the Connected Calibre E4 in the UK and JAC ant seem to update to Google Wear OS 3. It’s stuck with 2.57 I think. Any thoughts on what to do? I was under the impression this was was OS 3 compatible.

Thanks,
Tash

Hi @Tash !
Welcome to the forum! 😀

I moved your post to this specific thread about Wear OS updates. We don’t need another thread for that 👍

If you are using iPhone, I’m afraid your E4 will not receive Wear OS 3, but if you are on Android phone, @Akineton gave you the answer 👍

BTW, I guess your E4 is on Wear OS 2.36 (like my E2 Modular 45 in the picture, which I also posted in this thread some weeks ago). 2.57 is the Home Application version, not the Wear OS version

Wear OS 3 will be released in Q4.

Ah I see! Thanks for the info! Yes I have Wear 2.36 from what I see. I spoke with TAG today and they said Google would release Wear OS3 from end of summer-ish…

Question- is there a way to force an update? My e3 is still on 2.34- I noticed today as well I can’t enter theater mode anymore by double pressing the crown. I’m hoping updating to 2.36 will correct that glitch but my watch doesn’t give an option to update the wear os version. Thanks

A-With watch connected to Wi-Fi (watch on the charger, or with bluetooth switched off on your phone), open the Google Play Store app in your watch, go to “My apps”, and then press “Update all” if there is any available update.

Probably if you uninstall the Wear OS app (it will uninstall just the updates) and you do the process A, it could force the update sooner.

Anyway some of my E2 Modular 45 have received 2.36 and others are still on 2.34. Not all watches receive the updates at same time. I wouldn't worry, and just do process A from time to time.

Until recently, double press on the crown of my e3 would put the watch in theater mode. I used this functionality quite often. About a week ago it stopped working. I was on version 2.34, but even after updating to 2.36 I still have the problem. It’s not a problem with the physical crown as I can still press it once to open app directory, etc. Definitely seems to be a software issue. Does anyone else have this issue and know a fix? Thanks

Wear OS 2.37 received

Since 2.37 my Gen 2 won't recharge past 94% and the battery drains like crazy.

😲

I don’t have that behaviour on mine after 2.37, everything looks the same. Try to calibrate* the battery to see if that solves the problem

*Go to watch settings/system/battery and switch off the battery saving mode (and also the battery saving mode at 10%), and use the watch until the battery is completely discharged and the watch automatically turns off. Then put it on the charger and do not remove it until it is 100% (it should take about 2.5 hours). Repeat that same process (100% / 0% / 100%) at least two more times, and the battery will already be calibrated and giving its best performance

Cheers I'll try that.
