A couple of weeks ago I purchased this watch. Then after reading the in depth review on the site I noticed mine has the blue stripe of the final product but the color sub dials of the prototype. I commented on the article asking if it meant anything and was directed here to post a pic and ask. Thanks for any info!!!
Welcome to the best forum in the world and speaking of the watch, very nice choice!

I think the final versions have sort of beige sub dial color. Do you mean that they should be white? There are photos online falsely giving the impression that the sub dials are white but I don't think that is correct, yours looks fine I would say.

Compare with excellent pictures posted by @Mspeedster in this thread

Thanks. And yea I thought they were supposed to be bright white. I'm glad they aren't though. Now I just need to find a suitable replacement strap. Unless they offer this one. I don't want to risk ruining it, if it can't be replaced.

Where did you find this bag?
I've seen those bags on ebay.

I'm currently thinking about one of these shirts. But it's a little pricey and maybe a little too over the top.

If these are unlicensed products, they will likely get a 'seize and desist' letter very soon.

'seize and desist'

Ha, ha 馃榾 - 'cease and desist', although your version works quite well and conjures up a different approach!

LOL. Yes, as in "seize them all" and also desist. 馃槈
Note to self, don't rely on Swipe / auto-complete so much.

Congrats on getting the Gulf F1!!! 馃憤

I've had mine since early July 2018 and I've noticed that the loops on the strap are starting to show a little wear. The strap is pretty thick and the friction of shoving it through the loops seems to wear on the inner lining of the loops. I've switched the original strap out to this aftermarket calf rally strap. I like the look and will likely wear it this way most of the time to preserve the original strap.

I wish I could tell you, but I honestly don't remember. 馃槵
I bought the strap around 6-7 years ago for my Monaco, but really never wore it. Putting it to good use now. LOL. It's actually 22mm in width at the lugs, but it fits well enough in the 21mm lugs of the F1.

Ah thanks anyway. I am sure I can find a quality one out there that will look great. And glad to know about the 22mm.

While I know the strap on this watch has issues o really like it. Was looking for an aftermarket one to replace the original as to save it. But I just found out from Tag today I can order the original strap. I didn't think it was available.

I thought the modern F1s had 22mm lugs?

I wish it did, but my watch definitely has 21mm lugs.

Good to know. The original strap is unique and one of the highlights of the watch.

It's a wicked awesome strap. Definitely a highlight. Just as with the Aston Martin F1 strap.

How much does it cost?
