So how does your AD know what production number it is and let alone it's #2?

he said that's what heuer told him -- but remember, these are all sales people selling the sale -- :|

Nice! What AD did you buy yours from? In the US?

yes, cleveland. i am trying to get them to fulfill their originally quoted price though -- they're playing games now!

this watch will be around for a while -- i can wait -- !!

It's a shame that the Heuer logo is not on the inside too, but at least it's on the outside.

No clip to detach the straps? Another difference when compared to the 40th Anniversary model.

i just got a call from my retailer.

they said the watch i ordered has been shipped to them by tag, and it's production #2. i asked them for a photo of the serial number -- we'll see!

also, they're dicking with me on price now, saying the retail is higher than i remember, and their discount is lower than i remember, all because "tag has lowered their prices over the past year" -- making the OTD price at $5K -- that doesn't make sense.

anyone know the retail price for this beast? also, they're telling me it's a limited run piece, and i said it's not, it's a regular run one, because the "P" at the end of the model number -- and he said that was a mis-interpretation on my part -- :|

thoughts? thanks!

I don't know if they've decided to make it a LE, but the "P" has no significance in denoting that it's not an LE. Yes, it's been said that its P for "Production", but that won't really be the case.

what do y'all feel about TAG using this watch as a money-grab -- by that I mean re-issuing it till it's a dead horse, and using cheaper mechanisms in it than they would int he past?

Movement is the same as it has been for years- Calibre 11and 12 have used Sellita base since 2011/2012

That's a very pretty dial I must say, have Heuer ever done the faux patina lume thing like JLC, Omega and others? Would be even more epic if they made it look tritiumesque

What movement was in the 1133b and the 40th anniversary?

2009 Calibre 11 is the same as the current Calibre 11, but with an ETA base instead of Sellita base...same Dubois-Depraz module.

1133B is the Calibre 11/ 12 Chronomatic movement...which is a Buren base with a Dubois-Depraz module 😉

For those interested in seeing it in person, I just stopped by the boutique in Vegas, but the new Calibre 11 was not there. However, the new modern themed Monaco Calibre 12 is available.

The official word is that the new Blue Calibre 11 (CAW211P) will be sold alongside the Blue Calibre 12 (CAW2111), but the Black dial CAW2110 will be discontinued.

The Calibre 11 is part of the regular range. It's not a limited edition or an "ADIS" (Dealer special order)

Thanks for the update David. It's a shame the black dial CAW2110 will go away. I always thought that was a beautiful model too.

Well, and now it's my turn!

I'll post some comparison pictures with my 40th Anniversary next week when I get home from Vegas. Cheers!
