I'm trying to remember if I have seen McQueens in jewellers windows... I'm not sure that I have. Yes, if you go to London, I'm not sure they are commonly stocked in Goldsmiths in smaller cities etc...
All of the major ADs in the Trafford Centre previously had the McQueen on display in their windows quite prominently. My local independent AD in a smaller town also has had it regularly on display in their window when it’s been in stock
Lovely, went about 12yrs ago, & spotted my first Panerai in the wild out there. Was renting a villa with friends and the landlord wore a Sub, which looked the dogs dangles on him.
Out of interest what is about the modern versions you are not keen on? I tried on the blue/ bracelet version last year, whilst not keen on the dial and rh crown, was impressed with the bracelet which I thought suited it.

It mostly has to do with uninspired design choices and sloppy finishing. Heuers from the '60s and '70s are little design wonders. There are exceptions but the icons are beautifully designed and finished, I wouldn't know what to change or improve. You never get bored staring at them, you're just in awe. I don't have the same feeling with the new watches. It has nothing to do with the TAG Heuer logo as I quite like the new one. I have owned new and used TAG Heuer Carreras and an Autavia and I might buy more in the future. But for now vintage is the way to go for me. This is my personal opinion and I absolutely understand people won't agree with me, which is fine. Main thing is we all love watches.
I just asked at the TAG Boutique in Harrods and they have no knowledge that the C11 Monaco is being discontinued. Why would they make the warranty 5 years if they were going to delete it?
