All of the major ADs in the Trafford Centre previously had the McQueen on display in their windows quite prominently. My local independent AD in a smaller town also has had it regularly on display in their window when it’s been in stock

 

Must be a hard sell though, imagine if you have two blue dial Monacos at around the same place, one with an in house movement and a 5 year warranty, the other with a Sellita and a two year warranty. I mean sure, a lot of potential customers will know which one they want... but, they might justifiably ask why don't I get a five year warranty on this one?

 

I would certainly expect to see it in Manchester sure. I probably don't notice it because when I'm looking in a window I'm looking for the new releases...

 

It mostly has to do with uninspired design choices and sloppy finishing. Heuers from the '60s and '70s are little design wonders. There are exceptions but the icons are beautifully designed and finished, I wouldn't know what to change or improve. You never get bored staring at them, you're just in awe. I don't have the same feeling with the new watches. It has nothing to do with the TAG Heuer logo as I quite like the new one. I have owned new and used TAG Heuer Carreras and an Autavia and I might buy more in the future. But for now vintage is the way to go for me. This is my personal opinion and I absolutely understand people won't agree with me, which is fine. Main thing is we all love watches.

 

My local AD hasn't had it for ages. Haven't been recently too Bluewater or Lakeside (last 2m) but both Goldsmith did have it & Tag.

I am in the same camp bro, just nothing in recent releases captures me quite the same way. Some look great, but just not hitting the right heartstrings. A Monaco 1133B continues to be my biggest challenge, amongst others of course

 

I just asked at the TAG Boutique in Harrods and they have no knowledge that the C11 Monaco is being discontinued. Why would they make the warranty 5 years if they were going to delete it?

Maybe cause there is an "in-house" actual calibre 11 re-edition movement in the making

 

Perhaps part of their new relationship with Kenissi? We know the H02 does not lend itself easily to a left side crown layout. A new C11 with a better movement would be worth waiting for, but I'd expect another price bump if such a watch is ever released.

I personally have no issues with my C11s and if a new SMQ is released, I doubt I'd buy it just for the movement.
