My Tag Heuer 1000, purchased in 1990, has lost its bezel. I realised one day that it had simply dropped off. Can anyone tell me where I might be able to find a replacement? My local jeweller has simply said that parts for this model are no longer in stock.

You'll likely need to find something 2nd hand to get a proper match, but replacement "non-standard" bezels can be found.
I have just bought a 980.043 customised with a new aluminium bezel sourced from the same manufacturer as the original. Unfortunately i don't know the name of the company at the moment.

Please share some photos of your 1000, we don't get enough of them around here, ;) :D

Many thanks. At this point, I'd be happy with a non-standard replacement but don't quite know where to look or what to look for. Attached is a photo of my 1000, minus bezel.

HI, I'd suggest you keep an eye on Ebay. You'll need the full bezel (not just the insert) and they do come up occasionally. Alternatively you could look for a donor watch-one in really bad condition shouldn't cost too much and you can remove the bezel for your own. (Maybe even sell the parts onwards.)
    Good luck! Steve

Oh, and don't forget you'll need a click spring.

Thanks for your comment re click spring. If you can remember the name of the company that provided the customised bezel, please send it over! Best wishes, Nelson

Sorry but I don't know it.
I believe it may well be a supply/manufacture company who don't do "public" sales anyway.

Just so you know, I'm starting to look for a bezel too!

Hi everyone. Is there any luck in finding a bezel? I am also in the situation of missing one for my tag heuer 1000 and would love to find a supplier of it.

find one? Do you happen to know the dimensions? I have a ton of bezels, but half of them I can't match to model numbers...

That is great. Since I don’t have the bezel, I would have to locate a watch to obtain dimensions. Can anyone here help with this?
I will get back to you when I find them.

So these are the measurements and photos I could obtain. Let me know if having the measurements of the watch (without bezel) helps.

Try Brokenchrono on eBay. Not cheap but a reliable seller.
