Why does my chrono hand move back?

Hi Guys

I have been having problems with my Heuer Autavia Cal 12 movement.

When I stop the chrono function, the chrono hand will sometimes move back by a split second. It does not happen all the time but often enough that it bothers me.

When i asked the watchmaker who serviced my watch, he claimed that this is a trait of the Heuer movement and does not happen with the Valjoux ones.

I am skeptical of his claims as I have a Heuer Montreal with the same movement that does not have such problems.

Wondering if anyone here can shed some light as to what is the cause and if it can be easily remedied.

Thanks!

Probably time to find another watchmaker, at least for the Cal 12. Because of its modular construction, many watchmakers would rather not take the time to work on the Chronomatic movements. It's not super easy to find someone who's comfortable with them, but once you do you'll generally find that they're pretty good watchmakers.
