Which Monaco to buy?

Well, here we go again gents!
I once again have the opportunity to purchase either, or both, of the last two 50th Anniversary Monacos!
I'm not really struck on No.4 but will have to see it in the flesh first. No.5 however, has interested me from the first low res shots. Now that I've seen the high res ones, I'm even more interested.
I'm not a collector, but the thought of trying to collect all 5 does appeal, and getting three at list price is a good start!
It will mean that I've blown my watch budget for the next 5 years, in six months!! Damn this forum! Wish I'd never found it! Hahaha
If you're thinking about collecting all 5, you might want to consider hunting down the box set. I'm sure you could sell your current #2 quite easily if priced reasonably.

If choosing between #4 vs #5, it could be a really tough choice. I wasn't too keen about #4 initially, but its really grown on me. From what others have said, #5 really needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. So you'll probably need to make the decision when seeing them in person.

Like Jim mentioned, I have a feeling you'll end up with both again! LOL. 😁

I’ve had the chance to study a box set closely in person.... I felt like 4 worked in a box set alongside the others but for me it was a bit weak as a singleton - but that’s because I really like the louder colour and styles of the first three. Always personal choice - however I think that 5 would be the better choice in the long run if you can only get one. I would say it’s unlikely that Tag will redo the sandblasted style matte effect on the case - at least on a Monaco - and for that reason it will remain unique for along time. To me there is simply nothing ‘unique’ about number 4. Its black face with white highlights....

Just my thoughts but the finish on 5 is far more interesting in person. I wish I had your problem here!!!

I wonder if the people who bought all 5 end up with one or two they don't really wear.... assuming they actually wear any of them.

Well...... guess what...... yeah, I bought them both! Whilst I love watch No5, I'm regretting buying No4!! The enthusiasm I had in the store has well and truly worn off! I know it's not the most popular piece of the 50th Anniversary watches, but I'd rather see it go to a collector, than me flip it, so, if anyone is interested in watch No4 for what its cost me, please send me a message. The watch and I will be back in the UK next week. I will also post it on marketplace at some point over the next few days. Thanks

Congrats! How about a few pics?
Also, how do you like #5 compared to your red #2 and your Bamford?

I don't own any of them 5. Guess i am not lucky enough. But if i have to make a list from my most favorite to least favorite, mine will be:

#5 - #1 - #2 - #4 - #3.
