Oh dear........ I should definitely NOT be left alone in a TAG Heuer boutique!
I couldn't decide, so bought them both! I knew it would probably happen after reading some of the comments above. So I am now officially blaming you guys! 😁
The only 24 they had was the black one, and although I liked it, it just felt... too much bling for me.
I also got to try on a titanium V4!! What an incredible watch, with an incredible price tag! Although not so easy to tell the time on!

Also came away with a few freebies! TAG Heuer towel, TAG watch winder, Steve McQueen book, and a little bottle of Moet, as well as a Merc Limo back to my hotel!! Now that's what I call service!

Thanks for all the advice. I now know I've made the right call on them both! Off for a celebratory drink in the Irish pub next door now.
Now..... which Monaco should I wear?

It's been an awesome day all round!
The Bamford is a lot more understated in the flesh than most pics show. It's like a Stealth Monaco! Quite subtle and understated on first glance. I thought the blue dials were too much when I first started looking at pics on the web, but they look just right. To me at least!
Will post some real world pics up tomorrow.

Great story and well done.
You did very well to find a Red Monaco so long after it was first released.
I too tried on the Bamford Monaco last year and loved the look of the face but the carbon body was not my favourite.
I've been after that book you received for a while, If you ever want to sell it let me know.

I bet you'll be grinning from ear to ear this week.

Then there's the Platinum V4, the Carbon V4, the black Cal36 Monaco 24, the ACM Monaco, the gold Monaco, and God knows what else they have!
The week before I bought my Bamford, they actually had two in stock!!
If only I had unlimited funds!

Well, here we go again gents!
I once again have the opportunity to purchase either, or both, of the last two 50th Anniversary Monacos!
I'm not really struck on No.4 but will have to see it in the flesh first. No.5 however, has interested me from the first low res shots. Now that I've seen the high res ones, I'm even more interested.
I'm not a collector, but the thought of trying to collect all 5 does appeal, and getting three at list price is a good start!
It will mean that I've blown my watch budget for the next 5 years, in six months!! Damn this forum! Wish I'd never found it! Hahaha
