Hi everyone. Thought I would share my first Tag that my wife got me. I'm a car guy and keep telling her that I want to get a Carrera. She knows I also like watches and have studied heritage of Rolex, Tudor, Omega, and others since grade school. As a joke of sorts she got me a "Carrera" as she calls it. Well I will give her that, it is indeed a Carrera, quite a pretty watch too. I was daily wearing my Tudor BB41 Blue dial until she got me this Tag.

Here is my Tudor BB41. I bought this as a gift to myself when I finished my last I.T. Degree. Working full time and full time school was hell, and I originally was supposed to buy my dream watch, a Rolex DJ 41, smooth bezel, oyster band, white dial. I went to go buy it and that is when I was introduced to the "waiting list" at my local AD. I was told initially a 2 year wait and I was like "what did they stop making watches?" - and I got a snooty response of "well sir it's a Rolex, their is more customer demand than actual watches." - So I got my Tudor instead, no regrets. Took some of the leftover money and went for drinks so that I would feel better about not being an A-lister that can just walk in and buy a watch. Oddly enough, about 4 months later they called me offering the DJ. I passed on it mainly on principal of being treated like some lesser class human, or whatever they were thinking when I asked to buy the DJ. I guess getting the Tudor reversed their opinion of me, as they call me every month or so.

I personally like the Tudor more, it's much more interesting. I wouldn't have bought it from that place though!

Well people in sales/commission can't help but pre-judge people, I sold cars for 10 years and I was always having to block that out mentally when a customer showed up. Still, you are right it's no excuse.
