I can't imagine a watch less suited to the NATO. Leaving aside the obvious (!) aesthetic shortcomings, the Aquagraph is very heavy and it's like a watch sitting on top of another watch. Can you imagine this on a flimsy bit of cotton, really?

I actually find that I prefer the larger, heavier watches on NATOs - it might just be my huge wrist though. But I find it feels a bit more secure. Of course, I only like higher-quality slimmer NATOs though. "Seatbelt" style makes a huge difference

I just acquired a Chronomatic dial watch 😁

Congrats!!! Is that your first Breitling? With the Heuer partnership Project 99 movement no less!

My Navi ref. 806 re-edition says "hello"! 😀

Oh well, you may be right. The only one have ever allowed on my wrist was that camouflage thing on the Camo Aquaracer. Loved the watch, hated the strap.

Rocking the Heuer01, as usual, on my wrist most days since summer. Extra blingy in advent lights

I liked the two perlon straps I used, one red the other blue, just the right length and not having buckle holes infinitely adjustable.
Available in many colours and widths, I could never deal with all the extra strap to hide on a nato.

Yep! The Chronomatic movement was the reason why I chose this particular watch - most Breitling Chronomatics were a bit large and funky, and just aren't my cup of tea. But then I learned about the 8806/8808 and couldn't resist 😀

Don't think I recall a camo Aquaracer on NATO, thought they were always sold on sailcloth-type straps?

If you do dip your toes into NATOs again, I recommend CheapestNATOStraps' Seatbelt collection, they're cheap AND one of the better quality choices I've found.

I'm sure there's some technical reason why that isn't technically a NATO, but it looks like one to me. It's even got those big stupid chromey bits sticking out everywhere...

I guess the nato lovers will have to teach us why it is not proper nato, to me it definitely is

So do you just push the buckle pin through it?
Yes, the material is a softish weave and so adjustable per line of material, once replaced the hole just closes up again.

It’s about a couple of mm(too wet to go the garage for a vernier) but suppose that helps keep it so supple.

Ah yeah. According to the website (where it's still in stock) it's a NATO.

I have to say, I think it looks kinda cool in that photo - even if I doubt I'd ever wear it
