New purchase - very pleased with it. Was concerned about the red bull writing but in practice it’s barely noticeable unless you go looking for it. Straight on the erikas as not overly keen on the original strap.

Congrats Steve! You've been on a Tudor roll of late, can't say I blame you, looks great!

The dial looks almost black, rather than blue in your pic. Would love to see a pic with the OEM velcro strap. Do you not care for those? I notice you don't use the OEM strap on your standard FXD either.

The dial is quite dark blue in most lights - nothing like the blue fxd. In some lights it looks black. My phone doesn’t help as it seems to adjust the colours a little.

I don’t mind the original velcros but they are quite thick. The erikas is much thinner so wears less bulky around the wrist and there is less material under the watch. I started off loving the Velcro but once on this haven’t looked back.

I am on a bit of a roll with Tudor. Nothing really behind that as was quite content to stick with the FXD for now but fraser hart had one of these in group stock without deposit and I asked if I could have a look. These black ones look far better in the metal (or carbon) than they do in photos.

I think part of it now is that brands such as tag heuer, omega etc have all been on huge price increases to the extent that whether I like the watches or not, I’m not going to drop 9/10 grand on a watch. I’m not a huge fan of the recent monacos but liked the skeletons but at 9 grand it makes you think about it, whereas at around 6 I’d have likely bought one. I think less about 3 grand for a FXD, albeit it’s still a lot of money. It helps that in general, their watches fit in well with what I like.

Thanks for the pics @stevec14, I see what you mean by the thickness. Still looks good to me though.

I certainly agree with you about the prices these days. It's made me rethink hard about how I want to approach this hobby. Or whether it's time to find a new hobby altogether.

It is nice. I’ll likely wear this with both but will order a new erikas for this (not sure which one yet).

Not sure I want a new hobby, but I dont feel like this is the be all and end all any more. It’s too expensive but I still enjoy looking. The original fxd somewhat altered what I want in a watch, and I like this one too. So we’ll see. I’ve pared down my number of watches over the last 6 months so am happy where I’m at and they all have a place. That said, I’m a sucker for something new so god knows how long this will last…..

Thank you - hope you are still enjoying yours?
Absolutely love it! It fits in so well with my other two and follows the dive watch theme and all from different brands.

When these were first released, I was utterly torn between the 3 handed or the Chrono, to the point that I wouldn’t have been able to decide if both were available right in front of me.

I am sure that what I am about to say next would be the same response had I bought the Chrono, so this has zero reflection on your version.

You know you’ve bought something you really like, and will keep for the long term, when you see the alternative on someone else and feel zero remorse or wish that you’d bought said alternative.

Basically, seeing yours makes me chuffed for you, as I would have been myself, but also happy with mine too. 😀
