After a month away wearing my garmin, it’s very nice to have a real watch on again, I’m surprised how much I missed it.

Breitling today because it’s such a fun piece

Monza waiting for Spa-Francorchamps 😉 🍿

Monzo could be ceramic!

Are you going to Spa? I’ve visited but never been to an event there, it looks like a great circuit

Monza is not ceramic, but case and buckle are made from titanium, coated with black titanium carbide, which is not bad either 😉 I am very happy with its scratch resistance! 👍

No, I’m just watching it on the tv!

Yes, it’s a great circuit for the drivers, but not so good for the public, unless you have tickets for the best stand at Eau Rouge-Raidillon. The normal areas for the public are very flat, and only those who are close to the fence in the front row can see something... so if you find a place in the front row, you can't move from there! 😁

I was there in 1993, especially to make an interview to Ayrton Senna (after qualy, on Saturday). My mother, a motorsports journalist, asked him the questions and I took the pictures (this is one of them)

Precisely one of the questions she asked him was what his favorite circuit was, and he answered: Spa-Francorchamps.
I have great and indelible memories of that trip to Spa and of that interview 🙄

Thank you Jim!! 😀

Yes, I explained that meeting with Ayrton in some posts some time ago, specially the 1st of May 2019, or when I bought my 6000 Senna that same year:

And yes, she is a motorsports journalist (having interviewed also Juan Manuel Fangio, Ari Vatanen, Walter Röhrl, Henri Toivonen, Michèle Mouton, and other rally and F1 drivers) and also car racing organizer (rally and circuit), at a time that -for a woman- was much less common than now, so I inherited my passion for motorsports and cars from her 👍

Thanks @bpsmith 😀 Yes, it's a great memory, and meeting Ayrton was a great lesson on how such a successful and powerful person could be so humble 👍

The co-pilot arrived. Here's how it compares to the Carrera glassbox.

The Copilot is what? 41mm?

IMHO, goes to show that the glassbox really wears small…
