@Albert-AMG looks great, enjoy it my friend 😀 very cool that it is a numbered limited edition

Thank you Jim!! 😀 It’s so beautiful and special!
This is the only Senna TAG Heuer Ayrton was involved in, 25 years ago... and it’s also very special to wear for the first time a brand new 25 years old watch 😀

Congrats! That was well worth he wait. You must be chuffed. Great example. V unusual design too. enjoy!

Thank you!! I’m very happy to have finally received it!! 😀 It was a long wait, mainly because of the customs (it came from Australia), but the waiting was worth it! 👍

Very nice Albert.... I am a bit jealous as I had a chance to pick one of these up in Japan recently and decided against it. Mostly due to the size of the watch and my behemoth wrists. I have never tried it on, just saw it online. Does it wear big in your opinion?
Anyway, congrats on a wonderful watch with some great history of one of the greats.

Thank you!! 😀

I’m used to wear the TH Modular 45mm, or the Formula 1 Senna chrono (43mm), or the big and square shaped TH Micrograph... so the 6000 Senna looks small at first (until you get used to the vintage size), unless I compare it with my first TH: the S/EL. It looks slightly bigger on the wrist than the S/EL, but it’s clear that 25 years ago we were wearing smaller watches than nowadays 😉

If you have a very big wrist, it maybe would look like a lady’s watch, in accordance to current sizes

This picture shows better the size on the wrist:

And this is the 6000 Senna vs the S/EL Chronograph

Cheers Albert, Yep, it may look a bit small on my wrists so maybe it was wise to pass it up.
Don't you just love what they did with the strap on that watch. It seems these days, innovative watch straps are few and far between.
Maybe I should just go for it next time I see one come up. I can always give it to my daughter as her name is "Sena"

Thanks for sharing Albert, I know the feeling of joy you get when you secure a watch that you have been eyeing up or chasing for a while.
I felt that way when I found my Heuer Calculator. Something relatively unique that not every man has.

Yes! I love this leather strap! 🥰 And it’s very easy to adjust
In addition I have ordered the bracelet (BA0675) for the 6000 Senna to my AD in Barcelona (price was not so high as I expected), because I also like the design of its bracelet

Anyway it’s a historical and collective watch, even if you don’t wear it very often because of its size: it’s the “most Senna” TAG Heuer... and it would be also a great gift for your daughter, with so nice name 👍

Thanks! 😀 Yes, real joy! Ayrton Senna is my hero (even more since I met him personally in 1993), and in 1994 I couldn’t buy this watch: it was too expensive for me, and the 1000 units were quickly sold out... It was like an impossible dream. So I’m very happy to have found one now, 25 years later, brand new... making the dream possible 🙄

That is such a great story Albert, I can feel your passion in your writing.
Wear it with Pride.
PS- Meeting Senna must have been a thrill of a life time, especially looking back on history and what transpired with his tragic death.

Thank you!! For sure I will wear and enjoy it with Pride! 👍

Yes, it was an unforgettable meeting during the Belgian GP ‘93: an exclusive interview with Ayrton of around 1 hour (I was there as a journalist) was enough to discover a very kind, humble, and deep person, with strong values, a great human being... he was not only the greatest driver.

I was 22 years old, and for me it was a lesson to meet someone so famous, so rich, so recognized, so harassed by the press and by the fans... and so humble. I could then ask myself: If Ayrton is so humble, who has the right to be prepotent? Nobody

This is the reason because Ayrton Senna was (and still is) my hero, because he isn’t just the greatest F1 driver ever

Still a new combo for the Modular Calibre 16 😀

TAG Heuer Carrera Modular 45, today with titanium lugs, grey calfskin strap, black buckle, and the mechanical module Calibre 16

Not sure if it looks better with titanium lugs, or with black ceramic lugs... but love both combos! 🥰
