Dont know where you live my friend and how well you know Sweden but last place we lived we had drug dealers in the building. We have friends whose neighbors apartment was shot at. Five reported assault rapes only last week in our little town.

Anyhow back on topic...

I am confused as to exactly who in Sweden one would need to defend themselves from with a weapon, but that is not the point of this thread.

Look at this, Facebook has dug up what may have been my first-ever wrist shot, from 6 years ago today. I would have just recently bought this as my first watch...

A few years ago, I almost pulled the trigger on one of those ^. Today I'm wearing my 40th Anniversary Monaco.

Hey Hubert, I see Watchfinder have one of these too, and even though it's eight years old they still want £7000+ for it. Seems to be holding it's value well...

Yes, I hope that they continue to do. With the release of the 2015 CAW211P - "Production" there was greater risk of dropping, but David purchased his recently 2nd hand, and as you said, it seems these are still holding! 😀

In 2011 I paid full retail for it, which was US $6500 I think. I was unaware that one could haggle with an AD, and was also unaware that one could search for and find a fantastic example of a vintage 1133 for less than that.

It never ran well, and when I grew out of the TAG Monaco design in ~2013, I traded it at a value of ~$2500, at which point vintage Monacos were worth ~US $9000. So, my naivete cost me $4000 in real dollars, plus an extra $2500 in opportunity cost!

Fortunately I traded it along with a barrel-case Carrera 150.573f for a Carrera ref. 3647T and some cash, and when I found I wasn't wearing the 3647T as often, I sold it for a nice value above the trade value I got it for.

Still, I thank the Lord Robert Palmer I decided to go up for the chronograph instead of buying the Monaco 3-hander I originally had my eye on!

haha! three watches, all JCB era carrera's, but only one tourbillon, and the least expensive model at that - only possible because of TAG Heuer's ability to make the impossible possible with regard to affordable luxury

It sure does packs a lotta punch...wear this for the money fight (mayweather vs mcgregor) and you're in for good time !
