Thought I would try my Monaco with a bracelet again- must have been 3-4 years since I've had the bracelet fitted. Will try it on the Red 50th Anniversary later this week...

I think it suits the bracelet, not sure if I’d like it so much on my later version but since I prefer a bracelet something might turn up so I can try it on one, it has been on a nato type strap that allows me to adjust the buckle to make it comfy, something that’s a little more difficult, but doable, on a bracelet.

The price for the mechanical module is 2650€, and my usual AD in Barcelona applies me a 15% discount on price, so I payed 2252€ for it.

If you don’t previously own a TH Connected Modular 45 to use its lugs, straps and buckle, then you need to buy them separately (for instance: titanium lugs 835€, black ceramic lugs 1250€, rubber strap 110€, calfskin strap 270€, titanium buckle 215€, black buckle 275€...), so the cheaper combo for a Carrera Calibre 16 Modular with rubber strap, titanium lugs, and titanium buckle could cost 3810€ if you buy it per parts, quite close to the price for a complete Connected Modular 45 with black ceramic bezel + Calibre 16 mechanical module (4300€)

At the time, I really wanted a black dial (modern) Carrera to celebrate my upcoming 40th. I happened across this one by chance in a pawn shop and bought it fairly spontaneously because it was a good size for me. I subsequently upgraded to the JH80 Carrera, which was fantastic, but then that went because I felt it was too slab-sided. And hence started several years of flipping watches 😀

Formula 1 Calibre 16 Max Verstappen 2019 - I quite like the toned-down colours for 2019, but the bracelet doesn't work for me. Reckon that this would look great on a bright red rubber strap

This weekend is the Brazilian GP, one of those moments of the year when Ayrton Senna is very present... so the 1994 TAG Heuer 6000 Senna was the choice today! 😀
