You're spot on Werner. It was a tough day. But considering that my 2000 was a gift from my late mother, I like to think that she was there with me.

I forgot something to add:
When my father arrived in hospital for his last time he had forgotten his wristwatch. So I handed over to him my 3-hand Carrera Re-Edition. He was very disappointed that the watch didn't work the next morning. Then he discovered that it was a Swiss watch. From then it was a very good watch,
which after his dead has become not only a member of our collection, but also of the family.
Perhaps, something similar might happen to You.

Still love the look of the new AR WAY Ceramic series! My "problem" is how do I convince my wife that I need one??? Especially considering that my dad just gave me his Omega Seamaster Professional 300m Automatic (model 2531.80.00 - the Bond model). 😀

Well, perhaps you can explain to your wife, that the Seamaster is a piece of the familiy and a collector's piece. So you need another watch for daily life. Probably the Aquaracer will match this. It worked before....

Had you asked yesterday I would have posted a Carrera.

Today I'm with @imagwai with a Railmaster.

@OttoWilliam , the Speedmaster is the "First Omega in Space" ref. 311.32.40.30.01.001.

Not sure, but it's the First Omega in Space (Fois) model.
