I was very lucky with this one Mr Man. One pusher was sticking as the gasket had 'emulsified' apparently. So a new pusher gasket, new small chrono hand, new plexi crystal, a darn good clean and a service of the lovely cal.11 ticking inside. Job done.....(as I say, very lucky!)
Probably a topic for the vintage thread but have wondered how one goes about this stuff.

For example, do the work yourself or a specialist watch repairer, collect the parts yourself, genuine or generic crystal, etc....

Before I got involved with invisible stuff (as in bits and bytes) I worked on design of things of large dimensions, like power-stations. It still amazes me that over 300 parts inside a case 36 mm across can be designed, made and assembled at all. So I'm happy to support a couple of watchmakers in whatever expensive habits they have 馃槑

Steve & I use different watchmakers but I think are in agreement that we would happily use each other's if need-be. We are lucky to have a choice of good ones in the UK.

For crystals you have to take what is available.

Really cool. Your way201c on bracelet is without a doubt one of the finest Aquaracers 馃憤

Edit: I mean way211B, yours is the 41mm version right?

My latest Heuer doesn鈥檛 seem to stay on my wrist very well. Something very different and can鈥檛 wait to properly wear it tucked into a waistcoat pocket with one of my suits.

But what are these "suits" of which you speak?

And can you find a Gay Fr猫res watch-chain for it?

Damnit, that's nice 馃憤馃憤馃憤

The suit things I manage to put on a whole 10 times a year 馃榿

I鈥檓 thinking a bit of string will work as the watch chain as spending more on watches this year is definitely a no no from the wife.

Thanks @MRC

Thank you; I like it quite a lot and is often worn. It鈥檚 also one of the most accurate watches I wear. Yes, it鈥檚 the 41mm - easiest to note with the previous TH logo. I think all the 43mm have the updated one.

Back from TH service; very professional and quick. Took just over 2 weeks. The boutique were very knowledgable - they knew all about Calibre 11 and why the watch was so unique.

Aren't you lucky.... the Tourneau (my only option for service in San Francisco) had no idea what it was, and I've just entered my 5th month of waiting for mine to come back from TAG.

This one again...

Tried one on for size today. Fabulous looking watch. I was quite surprised how svelt it was on the wrist. I鈥檇 not expected it to be as big and chunkiness a Seamaster, but it felt quite a bit smaller than a Speedmaster.
