Is it because of the bezel ?

My friend have the old unrotate version of that speedy

Picture attached

I always jokingly ask him to sell it to me since a year ago.

No, I don't like the colors or the numerals. On the original Mk40, it at least had an interesting triple calendar function + 24hr subdial, this one just has the ugly colors!

BTW - the bezel on the Mk40 does not rotate; no Speedmaster has a rotating bezel. That's an Autavia feature 馃槈

No, i dont mean the rotating bezel.

I mean they rotate the dial design.

From the 6-9-12 to 3-6-9

Sorry i written bezel before. My bad.

The Pats and a favorite watering hole, what could be better? Perhaps that and a ceramic Daytona...

Just gorgeous! Prefer the ceramic Daytona with a white dial and the old steel model with the black one. What a glorious piece you have!

I initially was of the same opinion, but recently I have started to prefer the black dial. Especially after seeing how much better the white gold model looks over the steel white.

Despise white gold Rolexes. Always feel like you're sacrificing the brand's signature durability over stainless steel

I just prefer the design elements with the full black subdials.

Please don't post pictures like that. After seeing those black subdials I've just shit myself. Can't handle so much sexiness. Now I'm walking around college making inappropriate noises....

Never worn or handled a Daytona but I genuinely prefer the autavia aesthetics over the rolex.

When you throw in the price differential it's even more compelling.

Just personal opinion....

I owned three Daytona's and sold them all after a short while...I've had the Autavia longer and feel that the watch has a closer link to my car hobby then the Daytona'I'veve owned. Dont get me wrong, I'm not knocking the Daytona, it just didnt meet my needs like the autavia has.
