What to expect this upcoming Basel 2017

During the SIHH last month Tag Heuer unveiled the upcoming re-edition Autavia powered by heuer02 mvt and the cal16 10th anniversary with grade 2 titanium with carbide finish in brown leather strap. Now this upcoming basel From what I heard the Tag Heuer connect will be a modular design with lots of options that a consumer can play around from titanium to rosegold even diamonds. Under the helm of JCB he will focus more on heuer01 and heuer02 mvt. Heuer01 will use more precious metal from what I heard scratch resistant gold so I presume its Hublo's magic gold??!! But the design will look the same and more collaboration (limited edition) to come. For grand finale the Heuer02T will also use more precious metals even carbon matrix and Tag Heuer will add a click on strap for Heuer02T only same as hublot bracelet. What do you think?

Im so excited about the upcoming basel. Heuer02T is on my list but unfortunately AD here stopped getting special order as per tag heuer main office. Im wondering how the click on strap will look like in a heuer02T. I mean its gonna be cool and easy to change the look of the watch. Probably haters will be winging about tag heuer becoming hublot.

It feels like the big reveals have come prior to basel, is it going to be boring, or do they have something else up their sleeves?

Monaco/Aquaracer skeleton? Monaco Tourbillion?

Anything connected to Alec Monopoly can go and take a running jump as can anything that moves TH more towards Hublot.

I understand JCB's plans but they should not be brought to fruition at the expense of an existing and extremely large group of customers.

I hope so. What I like about them is that they are unpredictable. They will launch a product but who would know if they will continue to produce it like the heuer02T its a new product but they stopped the special order. Same as the grand carrera and othe cal36 line.

I dont have high hopes for this year Tag Heuer's basel.

But monaco tourbillon would be cool !

JC Biver posted photos on Instagram next to what appears to be his new Porsche 911R, a limited edition purist driven car.
It's branded Heuer.

Do we expect the watch for it?

I've seen a couple of these 911R on the intertubes, and frankly speaking, Biver's is one the most tasteful.

I'm listening... Slightly surprised they're updating the aquaracer already, doesn't seem long ago they launched the sand and pvd models, but very interested to see what they launch. It's been at least a year since I bought an aquaracer 😀

I saw one of the black and blue ones for the first time the other day, it was a bit disappointing that the blue wasn't as vibrant as I expected.
