So whats your next Tag, and why?

Mine - either a Jack 80th or a microtimer, I was shopping for a carrera when I bought my full black aquaracer, but still want a carrera because theyre so graceful, and after many many hours reading this site, I think the Jack 80th is the ultimate carrera. And the microtimer is just very cool!

For me it will be this:

A couple of years ago, I was fortunate to have obtained the last Jack 80th left from my preferred Auth. Dealer's inventory.

Thats a very pretty watch, need to see one in the metal! Just browsing watches in mappin & web at T5, none of the selection really grabbed me, nothing compares to that or the boutique specials.

Telemeter or a Jack Heuer as well.

Or maybe a second Carrera Monaco LE.

    Perhaps a rose gold 1887.

    I'll stop now :)

My next one is a blue Silverstone (re-issue), already have the Jack Heuer 80th myself :)

Though the Telemeter is rather nice, but I feel a little too close to the JH80 whereas the Silverstone would be something quite different :)

I've only just bought my Re-issue Carrera. If I were buying any more TAGs then I'd probably be looking vintage, e.g. Autavia, Carrera, Monaco. But probably won't happen this year. Exception would be if TAG were to bring out something exceptional (of course). The Telemeter comes very close but it very slightly misses the mark for me, and the price doesn't help. What I'd really like is the JH80th design (chrono) in a 39mm slimline case (and possibly in anthracite). Doubt it'll ever happen but you never know! :)

Well, it seems that the upcoming Vintage Calibre 18 model won't be my "next" TG after all, but instead it will be "the one that follows".

This morning I pulled the trigger on one of the new F1s, since I've been craving those Autavia-inspired lines.

This new watch should arrive next week; so I will post a picture once I get it.

    Thanks David,
I think this is one of the best looking F1 models in years. Here are some pictures from a quick Google search:

Agree. My only concern with these when I saw them (and these were prototypes) was the quality of the bracelet, specifically the clasp and end pieces- of course, you don't expect Carrera-levels of finish at this price point, but I did think that TAG could and should have done more. I'll be interested in your thoughts on the watch when it arrives.

Having said that, the design looks great, and they did a very good job with the chronograph pushers, which look cool.

No doubt. As you said, for the price point, one cannot have too many expectations.

Regardless, I like this new one for several reasons: the looks (with its Autavia inspired lines), the "care-free-use" (for those times when I fear taking one of my automatic Carreras or Monacos), but the main reason is that I have an older F1 (my first TH), which one could say is a direct ancestor. Therefore, now I have a two examples with direct generational lineage in this series. :D

Thanks! This new model has so many traits from my 1st TH that makes it really special for me; despite that it's from the F1 line.

Here's a side-by-side comparison between the F1s. Size difference is huge!

It is! Great shot. I'd forgotten how close the design of this new one is to the original

I was really impressed with the new F1's, almost walked out with a limited edition black F1 chrono (quartz?) from a boutique last month, they have really upped their game.
