My birthday on Saturday too! 37 for me 😁

Dunno if we'd discovered this before but how cool!
Well happy birthday to you too then! Really only 37?

Isn't it ironic that I'm one of the oldest here but I like the newest watches... 🙄

If it helps, I think I look closer to 47 lol

Staying young by hating vintage?

Your wrist looks much older than 37 bruh, but glad to hear there are some more young (relatively) folk around here. Nice counterbalance for all the really old people like Rob

And here it is. A Rolex at retail with no prior sales history. Who would have believed it?

Beautiful dial, sir.
Thanks. It's a pretty special dial imo. I kind of hope Rolex discontinue it now I've got one. 😀

Nice watch. Good to see a datejust with non fluted bezel and oyster bracelet. Nice one...

Thanks. To be fair, if it had been the same price, I would probably have gone for the fluted bezel. But then again I think I prefer that it's a bit more under the radar and functional anyway.

Hah, just realised I've been staring at this watch for ages since I got it and I haven't even set it to the correct time yet! 😁

Nice - love that dial. I assume that’s the 36 rather than the 41?

Thanks, yep it's the 36 and this replaces my old Explorer 114270. I consider 41 to be too big for a watch like this. 38 would probably be a better size although the 36 wears pretty perfectly.

I like the 41 (I used to have one on jubilee in the dim and distant past), but am more drawn to the 36 these days - albeit it’s probably a little small for me.

i think oyster is the best choice on the 36 as the male endlinks help beef it out a little bit and make it a little more sporty looking. Just as happy with a T-shirt and jeans as it is a suit
