How can my uber classic black dial sub compete with Rob's shiny green dive thingy 🙄

That really is a tricky one to answer. 😀

There's basically no comparison.

I don't know, maybe use some funky backgrounds or shine some colourful lights on it? Get creative. Maybe photograph it against a smorgasboard of chocolate, I know you have a lot of that kicking about. Or balance it on your Porsche. Don't just roll over and admit defeat.

Already posted a bad photo of the Dark Side in the WRUW thread, but this finally made it off the wishlist and onto my wrist 😀

The Dark Side of the Moon debuted 10 years ago now, and I fell in love with it as soon as I tried one on. Couldn’t quite justify going for one over the years though as I’m generally just not a black watch guy. But now that I’m getting back into flying around some for work, I wanted something lightweight that won’t set off metal detectors, and it turns out this has Omega’s jump-hour feature where you can quickly adjust for timezones without stopping the watch. So here it is, finally!

Nope, it comes on a Jean Rousseau coated nylon strap either with tang buckle or deployant. Which as you know is my absolute fav but I have always envisioned wearing this on a NATO.
So I'm planning on having Jean Rousseau customize a coated-nylon NATO for it, obviously 😎

Congrats Yago and Adam. Both very nice watches, though that NATO gives me a twitch. 😁

Congrats again! Initial thoughts compared to your previous 5513 and vintage Explorer?

Thanks!
I must say it wears very well. I was afraid it would be too bulky compared to the polar but you don’t really notice the difference when not side by side. It’s supposed to be 41mm but wears like a 39/40mm. The build is flawless. The updated quality compared to my polar or 14060 crush is certainly there. Haven’t experienced a better bracelet than this.
It’s certainly a modern watch in quality and overall experience. No vintage vibe whatsoever.
Keeping it in the box for now. Very much leaning towards keeping it.
