It would be good to get an explanation for us that probably will never see it otherwise.馃嵖

Will do! I will also post about it on my blog obviously... and probably add the instructions to for anyone who needs them.

Fresh out of the box! Those marks on the glass.... I can't even see them IRL. 47mm, but I'd wager the bezel is the same size as the Grand Carrera. Wears more like 43/44, and short lugs too, certainly doesn't feel as big as I thought it might. So I'll be keeping this one for sure. That bracelet is so cool too, looks like old Soviet machinery!
Congrats Rob, another unique one, enjoy!

Congrats MC Graquagraph!! Very baller! Has a high quality vibe to it, just like a real Mercedes-Benz

Yes, it feels quality alright! As it should, I'm guessing original list was 拢3000ish?

Thanks! There is a tiny tiny chip on the bezel, but barely visible and like I said the marks on the glass simply aren't visible with the naked eye. Bracelet is one of my favourite things about it, looks like tank tracks! Haha

See what I mean, it doesn't wear anything like a 47mm watch should. Second crown turns the rehaut, I doubt it will move accidentally, you need to turn it fairly positively.

Side by side comparison, 43mm Aquaracer and 47mm SLR.

Okay, that鈥檚 crazy. Mind. Blown.

This video shows it on a 16cm wrist, not too bad at all.

I think the sharp slope down to the lug ends makes it more wearable and optically shortens the lug to lug length. Hence why the SLR's lug length looks shorter in your pic next to the Aquaracer, when it probably really isn't. Plus you're wearing the SLR on the thicker part of your wrist/arm. I'd be interested to see how they compare if you were to reverse the watch positions.

The video also shows some of the lap timing functions. Looks quite complex, much more complicated than the S/el Ana-Digi's functions that I never use.

I saw that video while I was waiting for the watch to arrive. I thought it looked massive on his skinny wrist to be honest, but it looks fine on mine. When I've charged my phone I will take a photo with the watches reversed.

Taking my wrist out of the equation, this pretty much shows that it's essentially 44mm

It does look large on his wrist, but not as large as I would've thought for a 47mm with a 51mm lug to lug. Just adding to your point that it wears more like a 44mm. There must be something about it that visually slims it down, I think it's the steep slope of the case shape.

I'm rooting for you. I had to collect each one separately.
