It's actually getting embarrassing now, when I go into a watch shop and you get talking about watches, if they ask me 'how many watches I have' I can't help thinking that they think I'm full of shit when I tell them.... because I probably would.

 

Maybe if you made an effort with your looks people would start taking you seriously?

 

Looks mean nowt, I’ve sold expensive cars to folk who look like they should be begging/busking, my boss and I went to look at a new house for him(he wanted a witness to negotiation) in t shirt, jeans and flip flops(him btw) and then paid by £300k+ cheque, sellers were stunned, maybe the tired old garage van we arrived in didn’t help.

 

I don't think it's my looks or my dress, although it probably doesn't help.... I just think most people would think it's entirely excessive/implausible number.

 

I think the same when I get talking about Heuer Stopwatches. When I tell someone I have over 50 they look at me like I'm some lunatic.

 

Well, that is kinda crazy. I mean 50 watches... yes, stop watches.... crazy.

 

My mate has over 70 watches now but all are much much cheaper than the average TAG cost, he just buys styles he likes rather than following a brand.

 

Ha, at least I don't have that many.
