Not necessarily trying to force my watch to patina... but does anyone know how this bezel fading process begins? or what the bezel material is, aluminum? I absolutely love the faded bezel and kind of want to see mine fade with time. Thanks.
The common theory on this is lots of UV exposure (aka direct sunlight). Some people fade their inserts with bleach though. This process can easily go too far if you are not careful though.

Yeah, I don't think I'm prepared to bleach the bezel, not too sure how to remove it either so I'll just leave nature to that. Another quick question, do you happen to know what type of lume they used? Specifically, I've got the 980.613B, want to see how that will age as well. Thanks again.
Luminova (and more so SuperLuminova) far out glows tritium which by now probably doesn't glow much anymore. They stopped using Tritium primarily in the mid-90s.
