What has happened to the Grand Carrera brand?... I am unable to find the classic Grand Carrera Calibre 17 RS2 or Calibre 36 on the Tag Heuer Website.

Thanks,

You can still find some used, or new, on the bay or grey market dealers.

Amen to that. Jcb said there shouldn't be a "GRAND" Carrera it should only be Carrera! Its like Porsche car then the company wanted a higher end Porsche car then they call it Grand Porsche which sounds stupid. Lol. Any how jcb wanted to separate tag heuer from zenith brand basically tag heuer for entry level then zenith then Hublot. Lucky to those who have them it's going to be a collectors item. 😉

I wouldn't be so sure. Some of the GC designs were painful on the eyes and even the ones that weren't, were an acquired taste.

I kinda like this one but yeah some of it are not for my eyes
This is my first choice as my high end carrera. I like this so much but when I saw the cal36 flyback everything changed and ended getting the flyback instead. There's just something with the black racer flyback that got me.

Agree. Need to find a right buyer. Saw couple of grand carrera cal36 same as the photo above (black/red combo) that AD actually sold recently even with some scratches in it.

I like them but for some reason every time I see them pre-owned they always look battered. The leather straps are fragile as hell as well.

Would that be before or after Alec Monopoly put some paint on it? 😁

That's the worry, I guess, is that you never truly know if you are getting an authentic watch, if there are no longer any authorized retailers for the GC. The one I always had my eyes on is the Calibre 17 RS2

The fakes of these can usually be spotted quite easily. IF you've handled a real Tag or know what to look for.

You can always ask here, before making a purchase.

They returned the design plans to the people selling fake watches on the street
