Do you make lists and keep track of what we all own 😒
I live vicariously through other people's purchases. 🙄

Actually, I have a pretty good memory for certain things. I knew there was more than just one owner of the green besides @stevec14, had to double check the thread though to see who the others were. @rafabond might have bought a green too, but never confirmed whether he went through with the purchase.

That's kinda what I meant about occasional contributors though, can't recall the last time one was posted.
The majority of the forum members are casual contributors. There's really only a very small handful of us that post on a regular basis.

But I have noticed that when certain new watches are released, many of the occasional contributors comeback to chime in.

Occasional contributor here! Yes, sorry I don’t post much these days on any of the forums (more OF than anything these days).

I enjoyed the green Monaco, but ended up moving it on when my snoopy showed up. I can’t necessarily keep hold of everything and occasionally I have to put one on the chopping block to pacify mrs stevec14.

It will certainly be interesting to see if there is a new purple one. If I had one criticism of the green one, it’s that it wasn’t that green. 99% of the time the watch was black and only when in direct sunlight would the green hue come in. Some prefer that, I’d have liked a little more pop - that and the loud rotor noise bugged me quite a lot.

anyway, I’m out of watch funds for the foreseeable as have recently picked up a black bay pro and a white Tudor chrono, so will not be in the running for a purple one as intriguing as it sounds, but will for sure join the ranks of Monaco owners again as there’s something about them that I actually really enjoyed despite not knowing initially if I would…..

No need to apologize 👍

There will indeed be a purple one, I've already gone hands on with it.

It's also more forthcoming with the purple than the green - it looks dark purple ('aubergine' is the term) and then gets brighter with the light. It's a really nice effect, and this was actually one of the things that drew me to it more than the green one initially.
It still does have those wonderful sunken grey subdials though.

Nice to see you back Steve. I guess the Dark Lord tribute or new Monaco Gulf didn't do anything for you either?

I've seriously considered the Black Bay Pro and BB Chrono as well, came really close to buying the Pro. Both are great watches.

That sounds great - for me, if you are going to wear a Monaco (a statement in itself), you may as well have something eye catching colour wise.

can’t wait to see it.

Thank you sir! Nope, neither of those were for me. I’ve handled the gulf and personally preferred the older ones. The dark lord looked nice it not enough for me to get a twitchy credit card finger!

the tudors are both nice - you have to take them for what they are. In a world where omega. Zenith, tag and everyone else seem to be constantly raising prices into the stratosphere, the tudors seem to come in as decent value comparatively.

I thoroughly recommend the pro. It wears thinner than it’s specs suggest (as does the chrono). Quite a lot of bang for the buck

That's super tempting now. I called the London Flagship boutique today to find out about the purple (sorry, aubergine) Monaco and get on the list, but they didn't have any information. Guess need to wait another week.

That seems odd. US Boutiques are aware, my sales contact even sent me a picture.

Hope it won't be a US exclusive. That'll be a bummer!!!

I still come back to this as being my favourite Monaco - perhaps it’s the obvious choice, but I simply love everything about it.

I will concede that the purple one does look cool, though!

So just got some more info on the Purple Monaco. The TH boutiques in Oxford Street and Covent garden (London) are extremely tight lipped about the watch. I know they know about the watch but they're not giving out information. I had to approach my regular AD from Qatar to talk in Harrods - so got a call from the Harrods boutique. So release is on 06 July and they are taking down names for wishlist based on their "regular" customer connects. Managed to put my name down on the list for now. Let's see how it goes now.

I have a feeling the purple Monaco will be a fantastic choice for the owner of this… 😀

I'm guessing the F-Pace doesn't top out at 240mph though!
