Nice one. Would love a lady's price guide lol

The Lady's range sort of disappeared from the 1960s-80s (OK, late 70s). There are some nice older pieces, but very rarely come up for sale. It was the 1000/2000/3000 Heuers that brought back the Lady range at TH.

I wonder how much my Vintage Heuer Gold watch with moon Phase is worth (See my Avatar Picture). Up to now I haven't seen any similar one.

Hi- do you have a bigger photo? Is yours one of the 1985 re-editions?

Hi, Thank you for your reply. This was Hubert Heuer's personal watch. That'why I wonder if it is a unique Piece.
However, it must be from the 1940ies and is not 1985 re-Edition.
Best regards

Certainly a rare piece- Triple Calendar Moonphase (likely from the 1950s?) are certainly not common; Valjoux 88 movement?

Here is a similar model I have on my hard drive- note the different hands and day of the month indicator

Now, if we're talking Hubert Heuer's personal watch, that changes things completely in terms of rarity and value. How did you come to own the watch?

That's pretty epic if it can be verified by TH, or by Jack

Well, Hubert Heuer was my grandfather (the father of my mother Ingeborg). I showed the watch to Jack and he told me that this must be a very rare Piece.

all the Valjoux 88 triple calendar Heuer chronographs with moonphase are extremly rare, "we see one per 10 years; if you want it and find it, you'd better grab it . . . it's likely to be a while before the next one comes along" , it not depends of the price, if it costs 7000,- Euro, 8000,- Euro, 10000,- Euro. 15000,- Euro or more, its always much more rare than the Autavia 1.edition.
I saw only 4 fakes in ebay the past 10 years and 1 genuine.

Here was mine 1985 re-edition, I have sold it in 2015 for 16400,- Euro,
nobody can say what is the real value for an 1950th original, because you find only one in 10 years in the global watch market if you search 24 hours 7 days/week.

in ebay and chrono24 people sell a lot of fakes in the price range of 5000,- to 8000,- Euro

look the number "6" and "9" on the outher date scale, they are open, not closed in the genuine 1050th original, on the re-editions and on the fakes they are closed. And all originals of the 1950th have the big subdials.

here was a 1985 re-edition sold for 9500,- Euro in ebay.
the re-editions have not the Valjoux 88 movement, but they have the later Valjoux 886, and they have a6numbers serial-number, and are signed with "Heuer-Leonidas" on the movement 1_zpsv5lsfzdd.jpg 6-1_zpsqs5ikceg.jpg ScreenHunter_1042%20Jul.%2010%2015.27_zpsfhepikoa.jpg

Agree that there are a lot of fakes of these out there- I think it's one reason why these are not more collectible...they look great, but fakes are harder to spot as there are fewer catalogues from this era meaning that this watch is not as well documented. Makes spotting fakes hard.

No, its very easy:
1. every genuine Heuer Valjoux 88 of the 1950th moonphase chronograph has the 3 big subdials
2. every " has the open "6" and "9"
3. every " has exactly the same case
4. every " has a serial number on the movement in the range of 55x xxx
5. every " has a 5 numbers serial number on the case back in the range of 70xxx till 89xxx
6. every genuine are signed with "Ed.Heuer & Co." on the movement and on the caseback

all the others are fakes or Re-Editions of the 1980th years
