Good point, it's quite an ambiguous comment....

Wasn't he referring to the time it took to sell, as in seconds?
Apparently, we were both right. 馃槈

Agree. It鈥檚 the perfect watch. I鈥檇 love to know how much it sold for. US$50k? Maybe $70k?
Incidentally DC, whatever price you're thinking.....think higher......馃槻

90K?
It's a nice try Hubert-you're closest so far! 馃憤

If anyone wishes to satisfy their perverse curiosity and cry or laugh into their beer I'm happy to disclose the price if you PM me, but otherwise I will maintain the privacy of both seller and buyer in the public domain.馃榾

As sad as I am to see something like that go in the six figure range, I'd say it deserves it. At this point I'll just hope for a reedition as even if I could afford to buy an original, I don't think I'd want to wear it at that valuation! 馃槻

A new classic arrived today, and I am more than pleased with it.
Autavia 2446C GMT. Not quite like the stunner we've seen recently as this is just a Mark 4, and not quite perfect either馃槈

Congrats-nice find! Love the bezel on this one. Condition (for me) is perfect-I don't like showpieces, watches are made to be worn and used. 馃憤

Coming from you that means a lot to me, thanks. The bezel's blue/red color retention is what compelled me to hit the "Buy" button. Dial looked clean enough for me too. Fascinating to me that this all occurred at the exact same time period the exquisite $100k+ GMT 1st execution was being sold and discussed here.
Sadly, this one will not be worn often, certainly not during sunshine days! Except the first day. Weird that the subdials look so dirty.

I鈥檓 glad it worked out for you. Great piece indeed, sharp with a lovely patina. Bezel indeed very strong. I would wear the hell out of this, doesn鈥檛 mean you need to abuse it.

Here in the UK, on the rare occasion we get the sun it's generally still cool. As such we wear sleeves still so regardless of the weather, you can still wear any type of watch and keep it 'under wraps'. 馃憤 Enjoy it! 馃槑

Check out this white OB by Bernard De Vos. He always finds the nicest pieces.
