HEUER CARRERA 110.573B
Got myself the same one 2 days ago to “celebrate” the end of 2020... —>

Is the original steel bracelet worth chasing? I currently feel like going for a 18mm aftermarket bracelet (something in “President” style, maybe) or simply throw it on a nice blue leather strap.

That's an intriguing strap... 👍
What is it made of and where does it come from, please?

You'd have to message Watchpool to be sure, but it looks like saffiano pattern to me.

It suits the watch perfectly. Love this dial...and I know that @abrod520 does too 👍

Also a big fan of that dial. It screams 1970s. (From a 1970s child whose favourite colour is blue).

I really really like these the more I look and read. Should I dare to go vintage for my next purchase
Come over to the 'old side' Jim. Spend some more time dabbling in the 'Vintage Heuer Discussion' forum!! 😎

Going vintage isn't that risky if you make the right purchase. Just be a bit careful, do your research and seek advice beforehand so that you know exactly what you are buying. Other than that, there's no reason why vintage watches can't be reliable, keep good time and be worn daily.

Yup I will definitely ask around this wonderful place before buying anything.

The 1153's seem to be reasonably priced and within reach pricewise

It's a slippery slope, but well worth it!

Not to mention the real Tina.
From experience once you go there, there is no turning back and the vintage options are endless (and stunning). I’m more of a 60s guy than a 70s
