I'd easily pick the Z over the Supra.

Sorry Kappa, but it's a no brainer for me. Subjectively the Z looks better. Objectively, it's a lot cheaper, comes with a true manual and is a true JDM. No test data yet, but on paper it also looks to have a performance advantage as well.

The Z has just the right amount of old school mixed with modern. I dig it:thumbsup:

Yes I agree the Z looks awesome! 400hp! Wow::rimshot:: How much power do you need :D To me, that’s plenty! Club400! I’d understand that that the GT-R is a DCT. And the Z should be a 6-speed MT! Eagerly Awaiting superb reviews

But! But wait! There’s more! The GR Supra hasn’t played all its cards yet ;)

I’m pretty sure a MT Supra with a more tuned and reliable power figures will come out :) Saving for the Final Edition! ::psy:: Z vs S!

Looked at the Supra at the weekend, offered a yellow ex demo, but, it’s auto, not for us, but a manual Z might appeal, if she decides she can live with a coupe instead of a ragtop, and of course the numbers work.

The Z and the Supra has traditionally been the rivals or counterparts when there respective lives began. It so happen that the Supra MkIV (2JZ) creates crazy power and it already rivals the GT-R.
    JDM vs EUDM
    Z / Supra VS Cayman
    GT-R VS 911

I won't be as I'm hoping to fulfil a lifelong dream of a 911 soon. But I really like what I'm hearing about the Z - pricing is excellent at least here in the US with the base car at just over $40,000. The top trim is $50,000 but is mainly just added luxury items. Still, both trims are around $3,000 less than the equivalent Supra - except the base Z has the same 400hp twin-turbo 6 / 6-speed manual as the top car, instead of an automatic-only 4cyl.

The performance trim of the Z gets mechanical LSD, 4/2 piston big brake kits, monotube sport tuned suspension, forged Rays wheels with Bridgestone Potenza tires among others. I think it’s worth the added 10 grand

Maybe, 10 grand is a lot for essentially a LSD (all of the other parts could surely be bought and installed for far less)

I am thinking silver like one the factory video that I posted above. It will join its older brother.

Yup. The 40 grand @ 400 hp same engine, same transmission and same chassis is a bargain. Early ride reviews are promising (C&D Z review 9/10 vs 7/10 for the 370Z)

    Nice!
Is that a Nismo version? If so, are you going wait until there's a new Nismo Z?

It's a 05 "NISMO R-tune". You couldn't buy it "new/whole" from the factory. I had to buy and import the appropriate parts piece by piece.

Years later, Nissan figured they could sell the "NISMO" car, but it's not as comprehensive.

Rumor is that we might see the "NISMO Edition" announced at the end of the year. If it's tasteful, I will go for it. In the meantime, let's see how much markups the dealers want for the base. That may define whether I wait or not.

Get the NISMO version for sure sir @Hubert  It’s not the same if it came out NISMO from the takumi factory ;)

Like sir @abrod520 , I’ve always dreamed of the 911 Carrera. But since design cues really doesn’t change that much and 95% of all people doesn’t really know the difference between gens, I’d try and probably save up for it later :whistling: (fingers crossed) figuring out what gen ::confused2::

Currently, I’m dead set getting for a Supra (once my wallet allows it) and will get an MT (while my knees can still take the beating) :D Hoping it will also have good reviews and head on with the Z MT ::rimshot::
