    Hi

New here - so apologies if this has come up recently but I've looked through the threads I could find but nothing jumps out as related. I have a Heuer Autavia MH1163, I think 3rd Gen but not viceroy based on the serial, from 1971. I stopped using it a couple of years ago as it was starting to lose a little time and I didn't have the time to hunt down a service centre but now I'm keen to get it up and running again. But... I'm struggling to find somewhere that will take it on. One company that looked very promising declined due to 'age and rarity'. I figure someone on here will definitely have the answer! I'm based in Hampshire, UK and would prefer a company I can visit to drop it off but open to mailing if insurance etc would all be included. Any suggestions gratefully received! V poor photo of the item in question attached in case anyone can confirm or reject my id of the watch - I think serial is 204223 but without taking the strap off it's hard to be sure. Used to have a rice strap which I am hoping to re-attach at some point! 20220108_145226.jpg

Yes I agree with what you say-looks like a 'pre-Viceroy', interesting to see those earlier hands with it too. Due to the complexity of the movement (apparently!) I would recommend a specialist-as mentioned above. It may mean posting it but honestly, it's not worth the hassle with some watchmakers who don't really know what they're doing.

The options above are well-regarded but if you need one more too, let me know and I'll try and suggest someone. There are insured options available-you have a pay for them but worth it overall.
Keep us updated with how you get on!
