To sell or not to sell

Dear Fellow Tag Heuer-ist,

Today something interesting has happened to me.

I was approached by a guy in Instagram to sell my Telemeter calibre18 to him.

I told him it is part of my collection, even if i want to sell it, it would be full price plus profit.

He is willing to listen to my offer.

I asked for a day to consider, before making propose the offer tomorrow.

What do you think guys ?

If let's say the person agree to pay me full price plus 20% profit (which i am intended) do you think i should sell ?

If i do sell i don't think i will find another brand new one. But i can buy Monaco Steve Mcqueen or Gulf straight away.

I am really confused now, any inputs will be appreciated.

I love the watch, but the offer is once in a lifetime (well maybe not, maybe 10 years from now the watch might strike golden who knows if i become super famous).

Beware it's not a scam. You can find the Cal 18 new at below RRP if you hunt around, so his offer makes no sense.

Nah bro, not in my country. And like i said in numerous times, it's freakin hard to "import" your own Tag Heuer to here.

Best bet is to go to overseas yourself and bring it home. But i don't think that what he wants.

But i get what you mean.

I think there are few questions to ask yourself .. do you really want to sell it ? Even if you make 20% profit after the full price! Do you need the money ? If you sold it would be any regret later ?

If i know i will regret later, i wouldn't sell it now ?, i guess ? 😁

Not really need the money, but it surely can be a flip ammo for other watch.

Do i really want to sell it ? Never really cross my mind. So no. I don't really want to sell it. But what if this is the one time "sell it while it's hot" thing ? We all know what happened to Yahoo before, when they don't sell themselves to Google !

It's a decision I believe you need to make .. maybe he won't agree to your offer!

Ask yourself why you bought the watch in the first place. If it was because you loved it and still feel that way today then why would you sell it?

I buy all of my watches because I firstly really want them as part of my collection. 90% of my watches have gained value compared to what I paid for them, but I have no intention of selling any because of the first point I stated.

Only sell if you won’t miss it.

This is a tough one Otto, all I can really add to what's already been said is don't sell if you're not sure. Good luck and I hope it work out well for you.

Hello guys, just came back from island with no internet signal !

So to update,

In the end, the potential buyer want to pay full price+10% while i only want to sell at full price +40%

So its a no deal.

Thanks for all inputs !

If you didn't really want to sell it then +10% wasn't really worth it.
