I tried the GMT on ages ago. http://tagheuerenthusiast.blogspot.com/2019/03/on-wrist-tudor-black-bay-pepsi-gmt.html That was when they were hard to come by, they had them in Harrods but under the counter only for VIPs like myself. Well actually, no it was already on order but he let me look at it.
Maybe I should set an essay for the members of the COCO Council that starts: "The reason why I love the Black Bay 58 is..."
He should also buy a Black Bay. You know, just as a prank of course. And in a month he will be in love with it.
You've got to let this go Rob - it'll end up consuming you. I like hundreds of watches. The BB58 is just one in a sea of wonderful watches. I could give you lots of reasons why I love it, but it won't change the fact you don't like the look of it.
For me, it's not just pictures, I love the dial all the time. But can attest that certain lighting does bring out the full beauty of the dial. I especially like how the gilt hands can catch light at certain angles. Not the best picture below, it's hard catch this effect in photos, it's more stunning in person.
Totally agree with this. Often in low light, it's amazing when you see it and it catches you off guard. The exact same thing happens with the BB58 navy blue by the way, so it's more down to the style and finishing quality on the hands rather than the gilt. I haven't got a photo and can't find one anywhere to show what I mean - will have to see if I can capture it next time it happens.
See I think the BB58 must look much better than the BB cos those pics look way better than that dull ass thing I tried on!
