    Poor quality but at least the lume shows up.

    Haven't contribute much to this thread lately. But here it is. The Monza lume. The marker on the 12 o'clock was not divided. It was the inactivated sweeping second of the chronograph.

    Not bad for 30-ish+ years old.....

    (ok, the exposure was 30 seconds.... but they still come up nice!)

    oh yeah - question about the lume on the above watches...

    The 844/5 lume was charged up nicely by natural sunlight and artificial light;
    However - the .016 (orange dial) was only charged up by artificial light; I had it out in the sunlight for the same period as the 844, and where the 844 was glowing so much you could see it clearly glowing when it came back in the house, the .016 almost seemed to have been 'discharged' by the sunlight - it was utterly 'not' glowing. But 10 seconds held up to an incandescant bulb and it was merrily shining away.

    Obviously different compounds - but what are they and does anyone know any history on Heuer's decision making process there? The .016 (orange dial) is (I think) early to mid 80s, and the 844/5 is a later production - 1990 approx.

    Realized today that the hands on the Heuer01 appear to be different lume color compared to indexes. Do you agree or have my eyes gotten worse with age??

    The strange thing is that in the photo I posted in December all of it looked aqua blue:

    Yes, I also see a different lume color on hands compared to long indexes. Hands lume color looks closer to outer indexes... but it could be an effect from the camera/pictures

    How do you see it in the metal? Everything with same lume color?

    It doesn’t look bad at all in two different lume colors. I think time is easier to read that way
