·I've just checked out the prices in Australia and the rubber straps with deployant clasp are $220 which is very reasonable. The non-perforated strap is $300 and the bracelet is $520.
I wonder how the red, perforated, rubber strap would go with my Carrera Calibre 36 Racing......???? It could be a bit too much....
I just spotted there is a black, titanium clasp available too at $160. That's much cheaper than other titanium clasps.
The non-perforated black with red stitch and the titanium clasp would run $460 which is the same price as a replacement strap by itself for the Calibre 36. It amazes me that these quick change, Connected straps and clasps are so much cheaper.

·Gotcha. My F1 is listed as 21mm on various websites but when I put a digital caliper on it it’s 21.6mm. I’m just wondering the exact measurement on the Monaco.
I've put several different 22mm calfskin straps on my F1 without issue. However the rubber strap is a harder material compared to leather, so it might be a tighter squeeze to get on. Or worse case, you might need to use a razor and slice thin layer off the ends, but I doubt you'll need to.

The previous generation of the TH Connected -the Modular 45- is Swiss Made and shares design of case, lugs, and straps with the Carrera 45mm launched in 2015, and also the prices of buckles and straps are similar to those Carrera 45mm Heuer 01 and Heuer 02, and considerably higher than in the new Connected 2020... which is the first and only TAG Heuer that is Made in China 😒
So the explanation that the Connected 2020 buckles and straps (with more conventional design now) are considerably cheaper than the rest of the TAG Heuer range (and that of the previous Connected Modular), may be that they are probably the only ones Made in China, while all the rest of TAG Heuer watches, to comply with the Swiss Made regulations, are fitted with Swiss buckles and straps

Also, does anyone have an exact idea about the nature of the strap with the red stitching? Given its price-point, I suppose this is not rubber, but maybe a leather-rubber hybrid (?)
I am also wondering whether TH will ultimately sell the straps w/o the clasps. Because unless you want to start a collection of these, I don’t see the point of being forced to pay for one with every Connected strap you purchase...
Finally - and most importantly - I am quite excited to also see a bracelet option available... IIRC, this is the first straight-ended 22mm H-link bracelet TH has done in years. And I suppose it even comes with a QR; and is reasonably priced (340 EUR/ 350 CHF). Anyone ready to take the plunge to check out how this one looks on a Monaco?

The bracelet is not straight-ended, it is curved to match the case.

In any case, being the new Connected 2020 the first TAG Heuer watch made in China, the possibility that its straps and buckles are also made in China (while those of the Swiss Made TAG Heuer watches are not made in China, at least until now) is very high, and it could justify that great price difference with respect to the rest of the straps and buckles of the brand

·My Monaco measures 22mm exactly. I also own the F1, which indeed measures slightly bigger than its specs - 21.5mm by my eye. But the question is, what is the precise measurement of that rubber strap if measured exactly? In my experience, the straps can vary slightly in width as well.

In the Connected 2020, the straps also have a quick system to remove them from the watch, but the buckles are conventional, and therefore the only way to do a quick change of strap and without tools, is that each strap has its built-in buckle.
At least they have lowered the price, since only the rubber strap for the Modular 45 costs 110 Euro, while the strap with steel buckle for the Connected 2020 costs 150 Euro, so 40 Euro of supplement for the steel buckle is very reasonable. If you want the strap with the black titanium buckle, you have to buy it as an additional buckle and it costs 100 Euro, also very reasonable... although I think that they should offer the possibility of buying the strap with a steel buckle or with a black titanium buckle, so that you don't have to buy the black buckle additionally

I can completely change the look and strap in 5 seconds. Just a few flicks of the thumbnail. It would be a major pain and go against the quick change system if you had to bust out a strap tool to change the clasp too.
