what are people’s thoughts on this watch. Looks like a lot going on the dial and not too sure about the limited nature of it.

I like the overall design.
It is very well specified watch. E.g Toubillon (price point and availavility in a mainstream model is unique in the market)
It is blue. Could IMHO benefit at this price point/bracket from some subtle PM highlights. But that would likely make it even more expensive!
It is 1st of kind to have a this ‘new’ (revitalised?) Certification. Whether that means anything special in the real world beyond marketing remains to be seen.
It is also a very limited edition which should help with long term value.

Whether all that adds up fo 10k or more on top of the asking price for a ‘lesser’ Carrera 01/02 is I suppose very much a matter of personal opinion.

If I had the funds and could get my head around oaying so much for a Tag - it would likely be the modelnof (big/skeleton style) Carrera that i would go for. it’ll be interesting to see how well they sell and what they trade for in 18 months time (more as an indicator or appeal and desirability than investment value).

Already arrived at my town. Very nice watch. But if i have the money i will go for the H02T Carbon. Much more of my style (Blue is never my first favorite color).

They are limited to 150 worldwide (from memory) but they are obviously very expensive for TAG's usual customers so may not sell out that quickly.

Price wise it's not that much different with the H02T Carbon. At least in my country.

What are your thoughts?
Stunning watch, great quality with a surprising weight to it. This was (I think from memory) number 9 so low limited number. The only thing that made it a no for me was the 45mm size - combined with its heft and height it looked very oversized on my smallish wrists. Otherwise I would have had it in a heartbeat. Arguably it would have been a sound “investment” but at £16k+ its a lot to leave unworn.

I tried one to a couple of weeks ago. I'd rather go for the black phantom, even if it's not as accurate.
CARRERA HEUER-02T CAR5A8Z
I am a bit surprised you dont own the tourbillion versions Hubert, will you pick one up during 2019 you think?

I've considered it many times, but haven't really loved them enough to get one. There's always a Carrera, Autavia, or Monaco that ends up trumping it. Maybe one of these days. I'd probably be tempted more, if they change the design of the dial.

Mr Hubert is more suitable for a V4 tourbillon rather than "the cheapest swiss tourbillon" 😉
