Based on the voting so far, the final version is probably going to have 3 sub-dials.

How interesting it is that a) none of the second round silhouettes are compressor-cased?
And b) the "2017 Autavia" at the bottom is the silhouette of an 1163?

Probably means nothing, but I found it interesting! And I hope, no matter what happens, that we do not suffer a reissue of the compressor-case Autavia.

I'm clearly mainstream in my tastes. All my votes were for the leading designs.
Disappointed that the fantasy models are head to head so one will definitely be in final four. Oh well.

I'm disappointed my favourite may be knocked out in round 1.
Get voting for the big sub 2446 Mark1 people!

My vote was for that one as well, so unable to help any further, sorry!

I will be sorely, sorely disappointed if the winner is not a screw-back case - it doesn't even matter to me which dial / hands combination it is, as long as it's not in the compressor case.

Then again, I'll be fine either way as I have discovered a secret, perfect Autavia-like homage that's on sale already! 😁 😎

Wellllll, I'd say the Jaeger-LeCoultre more resembles an early straight-lug Speedmaster too, which predates the Autavia by a full half-decade.

But yes, especially in the case of the first Carreras, Jack Heuer's contribution to the discipline of watch design is massive!

What do you estimate the reissue size beefed up to? 43mm?

Hope not. Any bigger than 42mm and you can count me out. 40mm or less and this is a definite 2017 purchase and a keeper.

I prefer 42mm at a minumum, but would be happy with 43 as well. Just don't apply a "glass box" dome crystal. As it diminishes the viewing area.

I sense a disturbance in the Force...

Agree - 40mm or less and it's a virtual lock I'll be on the waiting list. 42mm I'll think about. 43+, f 🤬 k that!

Hah, agree that less than 41mm would be ideal. 39mm would be perfect....but unlikely

Assuming the eight current leaders win the first round, there's some pretty tough calls in the second round.
I think a couple will be really close.
