A Monaco is on my wishlist as well. I am in Australia like you. Did you buy yours locally or online from overseas? If overseas did you pay GST here when it was delivered. There was recently one on Gumtree from Brisbane for $4700 that I would have loved to have bought but I just wasn't sure if it was genuine. I do expect to have one this year.

 

On the early side of 2000 instead of 4000ish (if i remember correctly the price on the website). Couldnt re-find the link to pre order that you sent.

But i agree. It's a nice watch. I don't feel anything for the three hander one when i hold it though.

 

I thought I was buying that one in Qld! Guy had replied, sent a lot more detailed pics, from everything I could tell it was legit. We were going to meet up in Syd last week when he was down and then he disappeared as did the ad. After that I thought I just don't need the hassle so went new. See my 'bargaining etiquette' thread for pricing. The receipt he sent me showed he managed 12% off at Wallace Bishop. I managed 20% at Gregorys but suspect this was helped by the fact they had one in stock that had been in the window for at least months if not longer. Good luck, I absolutely adore mine. My Modular 45 has now become my 'basher' watch which seems insane to me lol. Just did some carpentry with it on yesterday .

 

It wasnt bad, but take this Sinn for example (i know its unfair to compare Swiss with German counterpart but Sinn is not unknown as well).

The best sinn i saw so far

They use the realiable and already well known ETA7750 modified into flyback module

The price is just below 4000 mark.

I'm more inclined towards the "tool watches" offering by Sinn, especially those with their unique technologies, like Diapal and Tegiment.

 

That faux vintage lume is killing this for me...

 

I prefer to call it burnt orange lume....sounds better than faux
