George in Bahrein

I actually kinda like the all black one with red hands. But I noticed that it's based on the old Cal 17 and I'd never want to Bamfordize a JH80.

Did you notice that the black one has a HEUER logo? Looks a bit out of place on that case.

Yeah I did. But the Cal 17 Carreras, like the JH80, had HEUER logos. I'm guessing this model might have been the base watch for what became that all black one.

I did consider that, but at that angle the picture looked odd (subregisters looked elongated). However after rotating it, it does look like that is the case.

Love it! Can we see the rocket subdial hand moved in perhaps, a timing event? That would be the hour subdial I'm assuming

Hi HP, I will try to remember to do that for you. Yes it is the hour sub dial, but it is also has another function. When you initiate 'Regatta' mode the hand turns 180deg into the green zone and the chrono second hand starts a ten minute countdown with the red hand counting down the minutes (hence the backwards numbers around the dial - also note the seconds are backwards too). When the ten minute countdown is completed the subdial hand reverts to the 12 position and the chronograph starts timing in the usual manner (to time your yacht race).

I think it was a different model, maybe a CAZ1010? I think the general consensus was that it was a fake but the owner insisted TAG had confirmed it wasn't, IIRC.

Seems an incredibly odd 'mistake' whether it is fake or not.

I have spoke to tag and they have confirmed there was a manufacturing error and it is a genuine watch
