Some watches are just a pain in the ass to photograph, this is one of them.

i wonder how many on this forum have that book? It was my 1st watch book........
I don't have that book yet, but I'm very interested in its contents.

Is the story in the book substantial?

I spent about 3 years since I started collecting. It was quite a long way.

I hope you can also collect it all.

I will concentrate on collecting special models from now on.

Me too. I also have “A Man and His Car” 😉
As do I, but I find the "car" book far less interesting.

I somehow agree. I’m not sure with most of the “cars” that were featured in there. The photos are sharp, glossy paper, the book itself and finishing are nice, with the landscape layout and all but the cars featured are.. 🙄🙄

I had high expectations but probably Matt Hranek is not that kind of a “car guy” that I know 😵‍💫😵‍💫

I’m going to voice what I think will be a minority opinion, but I honestly think the book is a far better demonstration of packaging and marketing than it is of storytelling. If it were a movie and this were the early 2000s, I’d recommend renting it (at best) and not bothering to “buy the DVD.”

I must say some of the people featured in the book I've never heard of. But reading their stories associated to their particular watches was great. I'm sure we could all tell a story of our timepieces. Maybe a Calibre 11 coffee table book?
