Hi out there! I just bought the mentioned watch from af onlinedealer (Here in Denmark) of vintage/old watches (Not affiliated with TAG-H). It came complete with outer cardboard box, wooden box, wrapping, guaranteecard, serialnumbercard and 2 booklets as well as the small off-white leather"purse" for the booklets. I have looked with magn.-glasses and microscope, but simply can´t find the serial. Have been looking the case itself of course, and indside....maybe the number is somewhere there? The watch shows some wear, but only a little; smaller scratches and so on (Very very little!). I removed the bracelet and the links also for cleaning to look at the sides of the case; nothing. The format of the serial is "00294XXX". It´s the same number und the 2 plasticcards. Everything looks genuine and official. Somewhere i found that TAG-Heuer serials always consist of numbers AND letters, so that makes me feel uncomfortable. Where to find this serial? Watch is from June 12., 2012.
Holy cow, i finally found it! Really difficult becourse the centrifugal thing always rotates in a way so it blocks the view ...The serial is placed at approx. 11-o´clock, just opposite of the "shockabsorber".
Welcome to the forum, glad you managed to find it. I can only think of one other member here who has a 24, although I came so close one time.
