Thanks to @Aquagraph, we now have scans of all the TAG Heuer and Heuer catalogues. I have put them all on the web here (it's a very simple page at the moment - searching means using the in-page search feature in your browser) but they're all there. @Hubert - should we make this a sticky topic maybe?

Edit: Old link is currently experiencing issues. Temporary link to the catalogues can be found here:

Awesome my man!
The 1163MH in the '72 catalogue was never issued that way I believe. It has red tracks on the subdial at 3. Only the OB and GMT of the 1163 had those tracks in orange or red. Unless this is in fact the OB with very red/orange details.

Might as well take em down Charlie, clearly can't be trusted. Just spreading misinformation!

Coincidence or not but in the '72 Viceroy ad the correct watch is displayed without track. This 1163V we all know as the Viceroy Autavia. However the guy in the photo is wearing an Autavia with red tracks. Are you not entertained?!

So nothing changes, they didn't know what they were doing then just as they don't know what they are doing now.

Yes, I'm sorry about that. These catalogues are hosted by me, and my home internet connection was unexpectedly cut off this morning. It appears I have been "slammed". Someone has taken over my broadband - most likely by giving the wrong address by mistake. It might take a few days to get back up and running again. I was hoping nobody would notice 馃榾
