So then, to those that have had a chance to look at the book properly, is it worth me getting it? Or to put it another way, is it actually the entire history of the Carrera or is 90% about the 60/70s (in which case it's not for me)?

It covers the entire lifespan of the Carrera up to and including the Connected and Heuer 01 variants. It is not particularly heavy on text with plenty of photographs. If you can get a copy, I would if I were you.

That trio of books are also v. expensive!
Yes they are. However an electronic version on PDF format is available from time to time, which is far more economical.

Well.... I have just finished reading the Carrera 55 book. Surprisingly, for me anyway, the section on the Connected was quite interesting. Much of the information on the more historical models has been covered in other texts.

Sadly, though, this book has not been in any way proof read. It is absolutely shocking in places with a whole chunk of text (several paragraphs) repeated later in the book and subsequently completely out of context.

For a TAG Heuer produced book, this is rather embarassing and I am glad that I did not pay for it, otherwise I would be expecting a refund.

@Calibre11, if you can use your contacts to pass the feedback about the lack of proof reading, that would be appreciated.

Very grateful for your help sir! As a TAG Heuer fanatic, i needed to understand the complexities of the Carrera. I own 3 Carreras BTW (2x 43mm Calibre1887 & a Heuer Carrera Calibre18) and yet they are strikingly different but subtlely the same! Thanks to this book, i now know the vast & rich history of the Carrera! For me, a good watch has an appealing design but a great watch adds the dimension of a great hi-“story” and heritage! For me the Carrera speaks TAG Heuer right away with its inseparable expression of “racing” & “accurate timing” Two pillars of what i value the most and probably the reason for keeping me “Connected” to TAG Heuer 😉

My love & passion for Carrera has been reaffirmed! 🥰

Now the Carrera Connected & the Carrera Tourbillon are the next two in my wishlist 😎😁 hahaha ::psy::

The Tag Boutiques and eBay are your best options for finding the Monaco book. Unfortunately you missed the chance to get one via the photo contest on this Forum.

Almost a month of planning-preparing to get this and it is finally here 🥰

I’ve always known that a good watch has a good design and package but a GREAT watch even has an added classic STORY to it! That’s why we are so “Connected” to these timepieces because of their illustrious history & heritage and how much we value and share their stories to others. My love and passion for the most highly regarded TH models (Monaco, Autavia, Carrera) and these books tells its all ::rimshot::

BTW, this book was never available in our country, my local AD can’t source one and the local TAG Heuer boutique did not get any copy of this book. So Truly this is SPECIAL 😀
